You are invited to join us for the Fifth European BioTechnology Workshop to be held in Kartause Ittingen/Warth (near Zurich, Switzerland) on September 12-14, 2010. This series of workshops aims at specifically addressing scientific concepts and technologies for heterologous gene expression in animal cell systems and catalyzes exchange of know-how among engineers and scientists in academia and industry. The rapid development in genome characterization and the intense search for new protein functions essentially require new technologies to meet the needs for transgene expression and protein production. Consequently, an in-depth knowledge of strategies for heterologous gene expression is critical to the success and progress in this field.
The theme of the workshop is:
Current status and best practices in recombinant protein expression in eukaryotic cell systems
This edition has a special focus on biopharmaceuticals in research and pre-clinical development
(antibodies, therapeutic proteins and new scaffolds)
Deadline for registration and abstract submission is May 31st, 2010.
Registration fee (inluding accommodation and meals): 700 CHF (Swiss Francs)
Please note that the workshop is limited to 80 attendees
